Sandra Kay Bagley
Sandra Kay Bagley, born Nov. 30, 1942, died peacefully on Dec. 22, 2014, after a short illness.
Sandra Kay was born in Lewisburg, and lived the last 30 years of her life in Nashville. Sandra Kay retired after a long career with the State of Tennessee Department of Health and Human Services. Her great passions included reading, dogs, horses, and movie dates with her daughters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ollie Bagley; mother, Ruth Nix Smith; and stepfather, Clyde Smith.
Sandra Kay is survived by her daughters, Susan Puckett Deaton (Robert) and Bethni Hemphill (Trent); and grandchildren Madeleine Grace Hemphill and William Trent Hemphill.
She will be missed by her devoted "baby," Ollie, her chocolate Labrador retriever.
The family plans a private memorial and asks that any donations may be made to Alive Hospice in honor of the care they gave Sandra Kay at the end of her life on earth. The family especially thanks Skyline Hospital for their compassionate care during her illness and Alive Hospice Madison location, especially Dr. Bond and Nurse Jere, for their extraordinary tenderness as she transitioned from this life to her new heavenly home.
