Carrie Virginia Wortham Lamb
Mrs. Carrie Virginia Wortham Lamb, 91, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 in Nashville, Tenn. Mrs. Lamb was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Ivan Clinton and Mary Ruth Marshall Wortham. She was a homemaker and employed for many years at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Lamb was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Chapel Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Beureun "Booley" Lamb, who died in 2005, an infant grandson, Henry Thomas Lamb, and a brother, Paul Wortham.
Mrs. Lamb is survived by sons Marshall (Vickie) Lamb of Unionville; Clyde B. (Lorraine) Lamb Jr.; Clay Hill Comm., Randy (Judy) Lamb of Lewisburg; sister, Marie Trout of Chapel Hill; brother, Jimmy Wortham of Chapel Hill; granddaughter, Scarlett Marie (Tommy) Garner of Chapel Hill; great-granddaughter, Saylor Marie Garner of Chapel Hill; five step-grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, Jan. 8 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Courtelis and Phillip Morgan officiating, followed by burial at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
Lawrence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
