Tigerettes fall in first round

The Marshall County Tigerettes' season came to an end Monday night in Wartrace, losing to the Cascade Lady Champions 51-46 in the first round of the District 12-AA Tournament.

After trailing 25-16 at halftime, Marshall County exploded with 18 points in the third quarter to take a 34-33 lead, entering the final period of play.

Cascade protected its home floor in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Tigerettes 18-12 to earn the win and a second round match-up versus top ranked CPA.

Marshall County's Makiya Morris poured in a game-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers in the contest.
