Walter Boyd McCollum

Walter Boyd McCollum, 59, of Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Mr. McCollum was a native of Gallatin, the son of the late John Woodson McCollum and Mary Lee Warfield Crisp. He was an iron worker for many years, but enjoyed farming in his later years of life.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Beulah Mae Stinnett McCollum of Petersburg; one sister, Marta Brown of White House; one brother, Johnny McCollum of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one stepson, Larry (Ladonna) Grubbs of Petersburg; one stepdaughter, Christy (Guy) Dalton of Belfast; five grandchildren, Brandy Mitchell of North Carolina, Steven Lee Wiley of Columbia, and Savannah Gail Grubbs, Icie Louise Grubbs and Angel Mariea (Lance) Rhodes, all of Petersburg; and four great-grandchildren, Diamond Lynn Rhodes, Christiana Rhodes, Erin Wiley and Kadain Wiley.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Sonny Moore officiating. Burial followed in Cochran Cemetery in Lewisburg.
