Sarah Edde, 95, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the Golden Living Center in Winchester.
Mrs. Edde was a native of Petersburg, and daughter of the late Walter W. and Emma Hemphill Welch. She was a retired nurse and member of Church Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Warren Mitchell, in 1946; her first husband, Floyd Mitchell, in 1980; second husband, J.D. Edde in 1998; nephew, Bill Welch; four brothers, Warren, Wade, Wayne and Marvin Welch; three sisters, Melba Mitchell, Mary Talley and Reba Hart; and stepson, Buddy Edde.
She is survived by eight nephews; four nieces; three stepchildren, Annie Ruth Lawrence of Cornersville, Joyce Crigger of Lewisburg and Jimmy Edde of Murfreesboro; eight stepgrandchildren; and 17 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 9, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
