20 arrested on drug charges in one day

Over the past several months, information related to illegal drug activity in Marshall County has been obtained from from law enforcement officers of all agencies in the county, as well as from concerned citizens of our communities.

On March 12, members of the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Lewisburg Police Department attempted to locate and arrest 41 individuals on a wide variety of drug charges.

As a result, 20 of the 41 individuals were arrested, and more arrests may be expected as the investigation into illegal drug trafficking in the county continues.

"This s prime example of law enforcement agencies and concerned citizens working together to achieve a common goal of a better community," said Sheriff Billy Lamb.
