Billy Wayne Jones
Billy Wayne Jones, 80 of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his residence after a long illness.
Jones was a native of Hazel Green, Ala., the son of the late Charlie Jones and Edith Dunivan Jones. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jeff Jones; two brothers, Albert and Mike Jones; one sister, Frances Welch; and one son-in-law, G.A. White.
He was a graduate of Marshall County High School -- Class of 1952. He served his country in the Army in 1957 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Heil Quaker in 1989, was owner and operator of B&W Machines and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Barbara Bigham Jones of Lewisburg; two sons, Bill Jones and Jason (Susan) Jones, both of Lewisburg; one daughter, Vickie White of Cornersville; five grandsons, Jacob White of Houston, Texas, Hayden, Neyland, Aaron and Cooper Jones, all of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Connie White Robbins of Tupelo, Miss. and Ashton Jones of Lewisburg; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be on April 8 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on April 8 in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Mark Irvin and Leland Carden officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg.
