Thomas 'T.C.' Blanton
Mr. Thomas Carroll "T. C." Blanton, 72, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Monday, April 6, 2015 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Mr. Blanton was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late Franklin and Minnie Ellen Crick Blanton. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Blanton who died in 1976. He was a lifelong member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in the Rover Community.
Mr. Blanton retired after 34 years of service at Samsonite Corp. of Murfreesboro, followed by nine years of service with Josten's Corp. of Shelbyville. He was also a farmer and had a passion for restoring old tractors.
Mr. Blanton is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jane Perryman Blanton of the Rover Community; children, Wesley Thomas Blanton of the Rover Comm., Emily Blanton (Danny) Warren of the Flat Creek Comm. of Bedford County; brother, Richard Lee (Helen) Blanton of the Rover Comm.; and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Warren, Kelsey Warren, Zack Warren and Makenzie Blanton.
Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 9 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Scotty Sorrells and Rev. Jimmy Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community.
