Reese honored for 37 years as coach

The 2014 season marked the end of a 37 year era for Marshall County High School baseball coach Steve Reese.

On Monday, April 13, the Tigers honored the contributions of coach Reese by retiring his number 12 jersey.

Family, friends and fans gathered at Joe George Field in Lewisburg to present Reese with his jersey.

During Reese's 37 years with the team, the Tigers won 22 District Titles, 21 Region Crowns, and made 12 State Tournament Appearances, including Class AA state titles in 1994, 1995, and 1999.

The Tigers also finished as runners-up in 1979, 1989, 1995 and 1999, while placing third three times.

The Tiger players, coaches, fans and the Marshall County High School family would like to take this time to thank Coach Reese for his hard work and dedication to the baseball program for so many years.
