Mildred Lurlean Old
Mildred Lurlean Old, age 97, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born in Darlington, South Carolina, on October 20, 1917, to the late Annie Cornelia Tobias and Henry Kelly Lemmon. Mrs. Old was a retired LPN and private duty nurse and was a member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dodge Hardwood Old, son, Johnny Larue Old, sisters, Cora Lee McKnight and Mary Violet Mangum, brothers, John Titus Lemmon and Joseph Ray Lemmon, and grandchildren, Alexia Brooke Odum and Justin Ray Odum. Mrs. Old is survived by her daughter, Margo M. Skinner and Joey Brandon of Cornersville; son, Dodge Patterson Old of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandchildren: Millie Beierschmitt, Johnny Old, Christine Anderson, Jason Michael Odum, Jeremy Wayne Skinner and Dodge Andrew Old; and great grandchildren: Jason Michael Odum, Jr., Ayden Ray Skinner and Colin Tucker Pickle. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Brother Paul Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marshall County Gideon Camp or the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
