Mr. Thomas Loval Jobe, Jr., age 62,from Lewisburg passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in NHC Oakwood Heathcare.

Graveside services for Mr.Jobe will be conductedSaturday, July 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Short Cemetery in the Spring Place Community with Reverend Herbert Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Mr.Jobe, a Lewisburg native, was born Jan. 15, 1953, and was preceded in death by his parents, AudaleneHemphillJobe and Thomas Loval Jobe, Sr., and one brother, James Edward (Carol) Jobe.

He is survived by two children, Megan Jobe of Los Angeles, California and Stephen Jobe of Knoxville,Tennessee; one aunt,Martha Hemphill (Corkey) Clendenin, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He graduated from Marshall County High School and attended MTSU where he was a placekicker for the Blue Raiders and later tried out for a kicking position with the Dallas Cowboys. After school,he returned home to Lewisburg as an entrepreneur and began a commercial cleaning service, Duraclean Jobe.Later, he acquired the franchise for Domino's Pizza and was owner of the Lewisburg and Chapel Hill businesses. He was active in his community and church, and was a strong advocate for local at-risk youth and families. He enjoyed songwriting and performing for residents at local nursing homes and community churches. He wrote a children's book "Who Made the Colors" based on one of his songs.
