Manila Murphy Coleman, age 90 of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Thursday, July 30, 2015, at her residence.

Mrs. Coleman was a native of Farley, Alabama, and daughter of the late Dave Milton and Lillie Mae Fitch Murphy. She was retired from Durango Boot Company and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Mac Coleman; four sisters, Mary Lucille Whisante, Ima Jean Rogers, Josephine Kaufman and Marveline Sullivan; and brother, Bill Ray Murphy. She is survived by daughter, Marilyn W. Cox, Lewisburg; son, Richard C. Coleman of Chapel Hill; stepdaughter, Linda Marie Brothers of Athens, Alabama; stepson, James Mac Coleman, Jr. of Chapel Hill; sister, Martha Gale Hill of Lewisburg; brother, John David Murphy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial following in Head Springs Cemetery.

The family was at London Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday until the funeral hour for visitation.
