James Loyd Tipper
Mr. James Loyd Tipper, 78, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, died Monday, Sept. 7. He was a retired employee of Heil Quaker; a veteran of the U.S. Army;
a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He was an outstanding person, loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was the son of the late Clyde and Bertha Godsey Tipper. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mareli Tipper; his second wife,
Betty Sue Tipper and brothers, Ben Chandler and Charles Chandler.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Painter Tipper; children, Timmy (Sherry) Tipper, Michael (Cindy) Tipper and Jeremy Tipper all of Lewisburg; Ricky
(Debbie) Tipper and Kathy Darnell of Cornersville; Joseph (Sholin) Montgomery of Erie, Pennsylvania and Nathanael (Ashley) Montgomery of Springfield, Indiana; brothers and sisters, Floyd Tipper of Decatur, Alabama; Kathy Tipper of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Edmond (Nancy) Tipper of Lewisburg; Diane Davis of Hartselle, Alabama; Sandra Burden of Cullman, Alabama and Ronnie (Helen) Chandler
of Hazel Green, Alabama; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services were at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, Gary Glover officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
