The Marshall County Wrestling Club will launch its fifth season of youth wrestling next month.

In its short history, the club has produced several state and national level champions, not to mention countless local tournament championships. The club is the only youth wrestling club in Marshall County.

As the new season approaches, the club is looking forward to expanding its size and event sponsorship, club founder Chris Posey said.

"We are always happy to see new faces when we start the season," Posey said.

Time to register

The MCWC will be registering participants in grades K-8 for the upcoming season at its booth at the Step Back in Time celebration at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, on Sept. 18-19.

"Most of our growth happens from word of mouth and current families encouraging others to try wrestling," Posey said. "We have athletes from Chapel Hill, Lewisburg, Spring Hill and Cornersville that train and compete with our club."

People who are interested in joining the club can also attend the club's season launch day from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 in the gym at Horton Haven Christian Camp in Chapel Hill Interested parties can also find more information on Facebook, Marshall County Wrestling Club.
