Hollingsworth returns to state

Marshall County High School's Leah Hollingsworth finished in eleventh place at the Brentwood Invitational last week and the Tigerettes' sophomore will run in the Mid State Cross Country Association High School Championship at Smyrna tomorrow.

Hollingsworth will also compete in the regional meet at Chattanooga on October 24 and in the TSSAA state championship for the second consecutive season on November 7.

Hollingsworth has posted two wins on the season to go along with three second place finishes.

Forrest runners Kelsie Darnell and Zoe Long finished 39 and 40 respectively, while MCHS runner Angelica Bishop finished 55 at Brentwood.

Brentwood High School won the team portion of the event, Brentwood Academy finished second, Cannon County third and Forrest finished in fourth place overall, while MCHS came home in eleventh.
