Jimmy Crowell, age 72 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at his residence.

He was a native of Bedford County, Tennessee, and son of the late Avery and Mary Agnes Cook Crowell. He was retired from Inter City Products and was a professional musician playing bass guitar for the Green Machine Band, Mar's Hall Singers, the late Ernie Ashworth, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Martha Carson. He was a member of the Lewisburg First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Crowell Newell. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra L. Allen Crowell of Lewisburg; two sons, Joey (Michelle) Crowell and Troy (Laurie) Crowell all of Cornersville, Tennessee; daughter, Diane (Wayne) Beaty of the Verona Community, Tennessee; stepson, Pat (Rhonda) Roberson of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; and stepdaughter, Macie (Ken) McKee of Columbia, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Benjamin Newell of Mesquite, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour for visitation.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Crowell, Jordan Crowell, Jacob Crowell, Aaron Crowell, Caleb Crowell, Tanner Roberson, and Marshall McKee. Honorary bearers are the Family of Musicians, Andy Carter, Roger Chapman, Gary Wright, Ronnie Harwell, Ray Mangrum, Mike Mosier, Terry McMillan, Jackie Crain, Larry Crane, Jim Crane, Phil Crane, Wayne Hayes, Thomas Lance, Richard Coleman, Buddy Bills, Jimmy Rickman, Phil Comstock, Robert Rodgers, Harold "Cowboy" Bradford, Jimmy Winchester, Melvin Willoughby, Jackie Foster, Jackie Crowell, Larry McCollum, Harold Foster, Eddie North, and John Rickets.
