Mr. Henry Clay Pendergrass, age 76, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Mr. Pendergrass was a native of Bledsoe County, the son of the late Ruth Pendergrass Fann. He served his country in Navy as a submariner. He was a lifelong minister and missionary for the Church of Christ and was the current minister of the Catalpa Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Agnes Garner Pendergrass; two daughters, Gale (Gary) Francis of Franklin, and Angela Pendergrass of Lewisburg; two sons, Phillip Pendergrass of Lander, Wyoming and Henry II (Karen) Pendergrass of Spring Hill; six grandchildren, Clay (Carter) Stokes, Zach Stokes, Autumn Pendergrass, Chase Pendergrass, Ally Pendergrass, Katy Pendergrass; two Great Grandchildren Laney Stokes, Nolen Stokes; two brothers, Eugene (Cile) Pendergrass of Pikeville, Tommy (Patsy) Vann of Pikeville; and a sister, Carolyn (Vaughn) Dunn of Pikeville. He is preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Fifer, and a brother, Joe Pendergrass.
Mr. Pendergrass's body will be cremated with memorial services to be conducted at Westvue Church of Christ on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1 pm with Rick Rolin conducting the service.
Visitation with the family will begin at the church at 12 noon on Saturday and will continue until the service.
