Rosely Ahrenholtz Plotz, age 80, of Norway, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at the home of her sister in Lewisburg. Funeral Services were set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at the Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Elder Jon Childers officiating. Burial is to be at the Linwood Cemetery, rural Norway. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.
Rosely is survived by her sister, Kaye Davis of Lewisburg; nieces Wendy Davis (Shawn) of Cornersville and Tami (Kenneth) Dooley of Pulaski; and a brother-in-law, James Reihmann of High Amana, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Judith Moore-Reihmann.
Rosely Bell Ahrenholtz was born March 23, 1935 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Neal Ahrenholtz and Dorothy Olson Ahrenholtz. She graduated from Center Point, Iowa, High School, Class of 1953 and married Alvin Richard Plotz on February 15, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The couple farmed for many years. Rosely enjoyed spending time with her horses and attending many show events. She also loved to dance.
