"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
West Columbia, SC - William Harrison Young (Bill) age 72 left this earthly home December 2, 2015. He was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He is survived by his wife Linda Faye Porter Young; his son Porter Harrison Young and Kelly Shelton Young; his daughter Belinda Louise Young Hutchison and Allen Brace Hutchison, Jr.; and the lights of his life his three grandsons Matthew Harrison Young, Caleb Michael Young, and Allen Brace Hutchison, III; his sister Mary Young Lovingood of Spartanburg, SC.
Bill preached for the Church of Christ for over twenty years throughout the southeast. He preached for the Cornersville Church of Christ and Westvue Church of Christ. He was a member of the St. Andrews Road Church of Christ serving as an elder and deacon over the education program. He was happiest when doing the Lord's work. He was a central part of the beginning of the Southeastern Children's Home in Duncan, SC, and worked with Carolina Bible Camp, Palmetto Bible Camp, and the South Carolina State Bible Bowl.
Bill had a love for all sports. Anyone who came in contact with Bill would know he was a dedicated Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
