Thelma Murphy Roberson
Mrs. Thelma Jean Murphy Roberson, 73, resident of Manson Pike in Murfreesboro, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Day Gooch officiating. Burial followed in Lasting Hope Cemetery.
Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late John Murphy and Beatrice Hill Murphy. She married Jerry Clark Roberson who preceded her in death Aug. 17, 2012. She lived in Mesa, Arizona for 30 years where she was a member of Mesa Church of Christ. She was active in Lady's Bible Class and loved traveling, especially mission trips to Trinidad. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Gooch (Mike) Greggs of Lewisburg; William Thomas "Trey" (Diana) Gooch, III; Patrick Murphy (Janna) Gooch; Bradford Day (Liliane) Gooch; Robyn Roberson (Jeramie) Graham; and Clark Roberson; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and special niece, Dana Hughes Patton.
Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors of Columbia, Tenn. was in charge of the arrangements.
