The Marshall County Wrestling Club recently traveled to Pigeon Forge for the first Top 100 wrestling tournament of the season. The Top 100 is a series of tournaments that attract the states finest wrestlers to compete for series points to determine a statewide Top 100 Champion.

The MCWC brought nine wrestlers to compete in this year's event. Seth McCoy and Landon Desselle were tournament champions with Nick McClendon capturing fourth place and Micah McClendon earning sixth. Many of the clubs newer wrestlers performed well with even records and several pins.

The club also competed in the elementary team duals for the first time and finished with a 2-2 record.

Seth McCoy and Landon Desselle led the team with 3-1 records. Dustin Jett, Jake McDaniel and Micah McClendon helped add to the wins with 2-2 showings. Nick McClendon joined Heritage's Middle School team for the day and was undefeated with three pins and one Technical Fall.
