Homer Lee Burns

Homer Lee Burns, 87, was born in Lewisburg, Tennessee and passed away Saturday morning at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Velma Burns; sisters, Lois Telford of Yuma, Billie Cross of Lewisburg, Tennessee and nephew Steve Cozart of Yuma.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Burns; a daughter Jennie (Mark) Preo; sons Ted ( Duka ), and Jody ( Noelle). He leaves 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Homer retired from Y.P.G. In August of 1983. During his 30-plus years there, he was awarded many medals and certificates of achievements. He was a member of the Foothills Church of Christ and always ready to share the Gospel and give someone a kind word and a pamphlet to share. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday Jan. 30, 2016 at the Foothills Church of Christ at 2 p.m.
