Forrest secures school record three medals

Forrest's Dylan Pendley will wrestle for the TSSAA 113-pound state championship tonight at 5 p.m. at the Williamson Ag Center in Franklin.

The Forrest Rockets paved new ground today as three wrestlers earned medalist honors at the TSSAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Williamson County Ag Center in Franklin.

Freshman Jeffery Gross finished in fourth place in the 106-pound weight class and senior Nikolas McGuiggan completed his Forrest career with a sixth place finish after an injury suffered in the third place bout forced the Rocket standout to default his fifth place match.

Last year's fourth place state medalist Dylan Pendley will wrestle William Reichel from Red Bank in the 113-pound title tilt tonight at 5 p.m.

Nikolas McGuiggan finished in sixth place in the 220-pound weight class after a concussion prevented the Forrest senior from taking part in the fifth place bout.
Jefferey Gross took home a fourth-place medal after a tough 2-0 overtime loss to Jeremy Holloway from Notre Dame.
