The FMS Lady Rockets shine in the confines at the Field of Dreams in Chapel Hill with their latest triumph coming in an 11-1 five-inning, run-rule win over Community Tuesday night.

Caroline Warner picked up the win in the circle for FMS and went 3-for-3 at the plate in the Lady Rockets' 11-1 win over Community Tuesday night at Chapel Hill.

Caroline Warner had another huge game for Forrest, tossing a complete game three-hitter in the circle and going 3-for-3 at the dish with an RBI.

Good games

Anna Blanton banged out three hits in three at bats, swiped three bases, scored twice and walked once.

Seventh grader Laura Ann Mealer went 2-for-2 with a base on balls, three RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored.

Zoe Long and Josie Bond had one hit apiece to round out the 10-hit attack for FMS.

Community picked up an unearned run in the top of the first inning when Kaitlin Leverette walked to leadoff the game and Brianna Beech followed with a bunt single.

A Forrest throwing error, trying to nail Leverette at third base on the play sailed in to right field and Leverette came home.

Retiring the side

Jaide Langley banged a single to right field before Warner retired the next three Viqueens in order to end the inning.

Warner allowed just two more base runners the rest of the game.

Forrest tied the game in the bottom of the first inning on a Mealer RBI double that scored Anna Blanton, who had reached second base on a one-out error and stole third.

Warner and Jenna Blanton knocked home one run apiece in the bottom of the second inning and Community went down 1-2-3 in the top of the third.

FMS did not score in the home half of the third and in the top of the fourth inning, Riley Davis beat out an infield hit, but was erased on a smooth inning ending 4-6-3 double play by the Lady Rockets.

Josie Bond slaps a base hit in the big 8-run fifth inning.

Big inning

Both hurlers settled in and the game went to the bottom of the fifth inning where the Lady Rockets sent 13 batters to the plate, scoring eight runs on five hits and the game ended when Shea Lewis walked with the bases loaded with two outs and a 3-2 count.

FMS hosts the Lewisburg Tigerettes today at 4:30 p.m. and travels to Summertown this weekend for a tournament.

On Monday, FMS travels to Reese Hambrick Field at Lewisburg in a 4:30 p.m. start and they play at Siegel on March 16.
