Charles Van Hooser
Charles Van Hooser age 87 of Lewisburg, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Van Hooser was a native of Maury County, Tennessee and son of the late Charles Burl Van Hooser and Annie Ruth Bailey Moser. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Letter Carrier. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Hillard Van Hooser; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Taylor; two brothers, William S. "Billy" Van Hooser and John H. Taylor; step-father, Luke Moser; nephew, Johnny Taylor; niece, Cindy Van Hooser and special companion, Ann McElhnaey.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Janice) Van Hooser, III of Lewisburg; daughter, Phyllis (Steve) Hall of Columbia; granddaughter, Allyson (Shannon) Smith; grandson, Charles Van Hooser, IV; brother, Jack (Wanda) Van Hooser; sister-in-law JoAnn Van Hooser; three nephews, Bill Van Hooser, Jay Van Hooser, and Dave Van Hooser and four great nieces.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home, burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery.
The family was at London Funeral Home Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday until the funeral hour for visitation.
