Giles Edwin Derryberry

Giles Edwin Derryberry, age 81 of Thompson's Station, Tennessee, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Mr. Derryberry was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee, son of the late Sherman and Iva Hill Derryberry. He was retired from Madison Mill Corporation in Nashville. He was a member of Millview Church of Christ in Franklin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary Addie Walker Derryberry; a daughter, Pam Derryberry Hollingsworth; a sister, Lenis Derryberry Walker; two brothers, Ralph Derryberry and Billy Derryberry.

He is survived by wife of 59 years, Shirley Andrews Derryberry of Thompson's Station; a daughter, Amy Derryberry Poff of Franklin; two sons-in-law, Bob Poff of Franklin and Phillip Hollingsworth of Kennesaw, Georgia; four grandchildren, Kate Hollingsworth of Madison, Wisconsin, Will Poff and Abby Poff of Franklin, Jenny Hollingsworth of Kennesaw, Georgia and special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted by Clay Derryberry Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family was at London Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon until the funeral hour for visitation.

Serving as pallbearers were Bob Poff, Phillip Hollingsworth, Will Poff, Andy Derryberry, Kevin Rutherford, and Rich Brown. Honorary pallbearers were the Elders and Deacons of Millview Church of Christ.
