Melba Jean Clark
Mrs. Melba Jean Clark, age 79, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Clark was a native of Madison County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Calvin Loyd and Verdie Effie Lott. She retired as a rural letter carrier, the first in Marshall County, for the postal service and was a member of the Delina Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Moore Clark in 2004, and a granddaughter, Lauren Taylor Clark.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Clark (Shelly Bradford) of Mooresville and Benny (Amy) Clark of the Yell community; two brothers, A.G. Burgett of the Yell community, Tommy Burgett of Lewisburg and one sister, Wanda Cantrell of Lewisburg. Four grandchildren, Tanner Clark, Taylor Clark, Megan Defoe, and Shane Thompson and two great grandchildren, Everett Tittle, and Remington Able Horn also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from the chapel of London Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Tuesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marshall County Athletic Association or a church of your choice.
