Busy weekend of football coming up across county

It will be a big football weekend in Chapel Hill, beginning with the High School Jamboree on Friday night at the Murrey E. Holton Field.

Scrimmage games will be Forrest vs. Centennial, 6 p.m., Spring Hill vs. Centennial, 7 p.m. and Forrest vs. Nolensville, 8 p.m.

On Saturday morning, the 3rd Annual Chapel Hill Touchdown Association's 5K Rocket Rally Run will begin at 8 a.m. Registration will take place at 7 a.m. with pre-registration available by contacting David Delk, P.O. Box 296, Chapel Hill, TN 37034 or register online @ www.forrestrocketfootball.com.

The weekend's big climax will be the 2nd Annual Forrest Alumni football game at Cascade with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Wartrace. The Rockets beat the Champions 22-16 in the inaugural "Rumble at the Rock" last year in Chapel Hill.

The Marshall County Tigers will host Christ Presbyterian Academy in jamboree action at Preston Hopkins Field Friday night at 7 p.m.

The Cornersville Bulldogs have a big Saturday night in Frog Bottom as the host the 2nd Annual Mid-State Jamboree.

5:45-6:15 p.m. -- Huntland vs. Columbia Academy

6:30-7 p.m. -- Cornersville vs. Richland

7:15-7:30 p.m. -- Mt. Pleasant vs. Moore County, one quarter

7:45-8 p.m. -- Moore County vs. Summertown, one quarter

8:15-8:30 p.m. -- Mt. Pleasant vs. Summertown, one quarter
