Joey Kevin "Joe" Kinder
Joey Kevin "Joe" Kinder, 43, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence.
Born March 20, 1973 in Pike County, Kentucky, he was the son of Roger and Linda Cantrell Kender.
Joe worked for General Motors and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an Elder and member of the Peter Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Phelps, Kentucky. He was also a Mason, being a member of Dillahunty Lodge #112 F&AM, Lewisburg, Tennessee. Joe was vice president of the Republican Party of Marshall County, member of the United Auto Workers 1853, United Boiler Makers, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the NRA. Joe was one who loved conversation with his friends and family. In his free time, he enjoyed farming, hunting, and practice shooting and he loved spending time with his kids.
Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Vadie Smith Kender; and maternal grandparents, Clifford and Faye Justice Cantrell.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Dawn Kinder; parents, Roger and Linda Kender; children, Christian Blake Kinder, Sierra Cheyenne Kinder, Kaleb Blayne Clark, Kamie Rayne Clark, Mikayla Gayle Henderson, all of Lewisburg; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family to cherish his memory.
Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Peter Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elders David Allen Thacker, Mike Elswick, Jimmy Lee Smith, Raymond Stanley and J.C. Hager officiating. Military rites will follow.
Burial will take place in the Kender Family Cemetery, Smith Fork of Phelps, with Christian Kinder, William Hickman, David Brooks, Ethan Wells, Jarrod Kender, Kaleb Clark, and Chris Kender serving as pallbearers.
Visitation began at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church with services nightly at 7 p.m.
