Lillian Collins Wakefield
Mrs. Lillian Collins Wakefield, age 91, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 at Marshall Medical Center.
Mrs. Wakefield was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of Vollie Victor and Era Roberts Collins. She was a retired bookkeeper at First National Bank, homemaker, and member of Church Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Alfred Wakefield, a son, Dr. Victor Wakefield, two sisters, Annie Ruth Chapman and Helen Gattis, and a brother, Tilden Collins. She is survived by one son, Dr. Ray Wakefield and daughter-in-law, Annette Wakefield, one sister, Sallie Tingle of Lewisburg, one brother, Wayne Collins of Nashville, seven grandchildren, Josh Wakefield, Jessie Williams, Kelly Thomas, Ben Wakefield, Deidra Dwyer, Kristy Sullivan, and Dr. Daniel Wakefield and 16 great grandchildren, Anna, Claira, and Oscar Wakefield, Houston, Jackson, and Allie Rae Williams, Landon and Lillie Thomas, Bentley, Gunner, and Ryder Wakefield, Zachariah, Benjamin, and Hannah Dwyer, and Josiah and Kyra Sullivan.
A memorial service was conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at 5 p.m. at the Church Street Church of Christ. Visitation with the family was on Tuesday afternoon from 2 until 5 p.m. at the church.
