Gay Dyer McKay, age 79 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. McKay was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee and daughter of the late Gordon and Estelle Little Dyer. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.

Preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd McKay, she is survived by one daughter, Alice (Rick) Kennedy of Lewisburg, son, Jeff (Jenny) McKay of Lewisburg, four grandchildren, John (Heather) Tucker of Lewisburg, David Tucker of New Orleans, Louisiana, Gordon (Rebecca) McKay of Lewisburg, Katie (Ben) Fender of Lewisburg, five great grandchildren, Mack and Toby Fender and Kennedy and Fisher McKay, and Hannah Tucker.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family was at London Funeral Home Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service hour for visitation.

Serving as pallbearers, John Tucker, David Tucker, Gordon McKay, Ben Fender, Bryan Fuller, and Derek Smith. Honorary bearers were the MCHS Class of 1955.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
