William Earl “Buddy” Elmore
Mr. William Earl “Billy” Elmore, age 90, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, Febr. 5, 2017.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverends Jack Carney and Eddie Carroll officiated, and burial followed in Hollywood Cemetery in Wartrace.
The family received visitors 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born January 19, 1927, in Bedford County, to the late Arthur Hobson and Gertie Mae Brown Elmore. He was a retired sheet metal mechanic for Billy Thompson Plumbing and Electrical, and a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were brothers and sisters, Edith Marlin, Evelyn Mealer, Allen Elmore, Polly Robinson, and Beulah Beech.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Gordon Isom Elmore, of Shelbyville; two daughters, Judy (Estel) Smith, of Shelbyville, and Rose Marie Elmore (Frank Rubino), of Murfreesboro; a son, Doug (Sabrina) Elmore, of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Josephine (Richard) Cashion, of Lewisburg and Frances Pacetti, of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Jacey (Travis) Walker, Heath Smith, Trevor (Lindsey) James, Jason (Lisa) Rubino, Christopher Rubino, and Ashley Rubino; great grandchildren, Scout Walker, Case Walker, Colton James, Logan James, Mikayla Rubino, and Joseph Rubino.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
