On Thursday March 2 the Marshall County Retired Teachers Association met for their regular annual business meeting. First State Bank of Chapel Hill hosted the meeting and provided the retired teachers with a delicious meal. At this meeting each year, teachers who have passed away are memorialized. New officers were nominated. Donations made by the retired teachers were given to the Marshall County Education Foundation to assist with various programs the Foundation provides for the students in the county’s high schools. This year’s collection was presented by Barbara Woods, MCRTA treasurer, to Barbara Capps of the Marshall Education Foundation.
