Taste of Broadway

Friday, April 28, 2017

The Marshall County High School Concert Choir and Freshmen Choir will present “A Taste of Broadway” in the beautiful Dixie Theatre. Performance dates are April 28th and 29th at 7 p.m. and April 30th at 2 p.m. For an admission price of $10, you can have an entertaining evening right here at home. Director Elise Dumser never disappoints audiences. With the help of Mr. David Sanders, she has selected a varied program.

“A Musical” starts the show. This energetic, hilarious piece will set the stage for the rest of the show. An excerpt from “Oliver” follows. You may consider yourself at home when you hear the familiar songs from the musical. The next two selections are a bit more modern. “Kinky Boots” and “Tommy” will definitely appeal to those who enjoy a change of pace. The younger crowd will love a medley from “Frozen” – complete with snow! The night ends with the truly lovely “Beautiful” and the dynamic “My Shot” from the Broadway sensation “Hamilton.”

Tickets may be purchased from any choir student or at the ticket office one hour before the show. The show is general admission with no assigned or reserved seats.
