Ethel Golden Baxter
Ethel Golden Baxter, age 94 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, in NHC Oakwood Healthcare. Mrs. Baxter was a native of Montgomery, AL and daughter of the late William and Martha Kirkpatrick Golden. She was retired from Moon Pencil Company. She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was a faithful member of Cornersville Baptist Church for the past fifty-five years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Baxter in 1987; three sisters, Dell Umphress and Thelma Griggs, and Mary Turpin; and a brother, William Golden; and two great grandchildren, Davey Tell Wall and Devin T. Wall. She is survived by one daughter, Pat (David) Wall of Tullahoma; two sons, Tommy Baxter and Phillip (Tammy) Baxter of Lewisburg; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Tony Billions and Arthur Payne Friday, May 5, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
