In the April 19 edition of the Tribune, in an article titled “Rate hike looms for Lewisburg Water,” it was stated that Lewisburg Water and Wastewater customers who do not use city sewer services are not charged a sewer rate.

This is incorrect. By regulation, customers who have a sewer line within 100 feet of their property are charged a monthly availability fee whether they are tied into the line or not.

The Tribune regrets any misunderstanding.
