Police investigate shooting

The Lewisburg Criminal Investigation Division is investigating an attempted homicide that occurred early morning Friday.

Officers responded to the residence at 1405 Old Farmington Road at approximately 1:35 a.m. after reports that a male subject had been shot several times.

The LPD press release identified the victim as Eric Young.

Young was taken to Vanderbilt Trauma Center in Nashville with serious life-threatening injuries.

Facebook posts from family members of Young said that he had been shot five times, including in the head and abdomen.

He was reportedly as of Tuesday in stable condition in an induced coma to prevent reopening any wounds.

The shooter fled the scene prior to police arrival. The shooter is described as a black male in his twenties or thirties.
