The Wednesday evening nightcap featured APlus versus Matthews in another make-up game originally scheduled for Tuesday with the rescheduling forcing both teams to borrow players from other squads to fill the rosters.

The contest started off neck and neck with the two squads tied at 2-2 heading into the third inning before APlus tacked on nine runs over the next three frames and the game was called after five with APlus taking the 11-2 win.

Tristan Griggs got the start for APlus and pitched three innings with a game-high six strikeouts before giving way to Blake Moreland at the start of the fourth as the two combined for a two-hitter versus Matthews.

Laiken Ward stands in before hitting an RBI single to give APlus a 10-2 lead.

Moreland picked up five strikeouts in two innings of work.

Hunter Goodman led APlus and all batters with four RBI, while Carson Cheek, Laiken Ward, and Matthew Goodman all chipped in one RBI.

Brayden Bowyer started on the mound for Matthews and held APlus in check for three innings before the bottom fell out in the fourth and Hayden Luna took over. Bowyer finished with five strikeouts and a game-high 13 first strike pitches in three and two-thirds innings.

Matthew Fuller led Matthews with two RBI.

Matthews was able to strike first in the bottom of the first inning as Fuller sent a shot into left to bring home two runners for an early 2-0 lead.

Moreland started off the second inning with a single before Kaden Allen followed with a single-bagger to put a runner in scoring position.

Two consecutive wild pitches by Bowyer allowed both Moreland and Allen to steal home and tie the game up at 2-2.

APlus was able to take the 3-2 lead on a Hunter Bennett RBI double deep into right field and Bennett headed home on a series of Matthews errors and an early 2-0 Matthews lead shifted to a 4-2 A-Plus advantage by the end of the inning.

Fuller and Carson Osborne started off the third inning with a pair of singles before Hayden Luna reached on a walk, but the bases loaded threat ended as Fuller attempted the steal home but was gunned down to end the inning.

The A-Plus onslaught continued into the fourth inning as Goodman sent a double to the right field fence before Ward was hit by a pitch and both runners advanced on a passed ball.

Cheek delivered an RBI single to bring home Goodman and Ward took home on a throwing error to first for a 6-2 APlus lead.

The APlus bats continued to sizzle in the fifth as Bennett added two more RBI and Ward added a RBI single to push the lead to 11-2 and after Matthews came up empty in the bottom half of the inning the game was called with APlus taking the nine-run victory.
