There are not many farms that stay in one family for 100 years, but the George W. Stallings, Sr. Farm located on East Highway 129 (Cornersville Road) has been in the family for a century. Mr. Stallings was originally from Bedford County, In 1917, he purchased a tract of land containing 300-plus acres in the Robertson Fork Community, which is in Marshall and Giles counties. George Stallings and his wife, Jennie Chapman Stallings raised their family on the farm and left the property to their children. After 100 years, the farm is still owned and operated by the George W. Stallings, Jr. Family, Jennie Ruth Stallings Holder, and Edna Earl Stallings Hickman. This is certainly a milestone for the Stallings Family and we a salute this family on a century of ownership of their farm.
