Glen Doggett, age 94 of Lewisburg, died Monday, June 19, 2017, in NHC Pulaski Healthcare.
Mr. Doggett was a native of Marshall County, TN, and son of the late Buford Lee and Sallie Lou McGaugh Doggett. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He saw action in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. He retired from R.C. Mahon Steel Corporation in Michigan and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Wayne Doggett; sister, Mary Frances Harwell; and brother, Joe Newtt Doggett. He is survived by two daughters, Glenda Sue Henry of Buck Eye, AZ and Sherry Prescott of MI; two sisters, Betty Doggett Ingram of Pulaski, and Helen Doggett Cobbs of Hartselle, AL; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family will be at London Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. for visitation with the funeral service at 12 p.m.
Mr. Doggett’s body will be cremated following the service and the cremains will be buried in New Hope Cemetery in the Ostella community at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
