CB&S Bank hosted the June meeting of the Marshall County Retired Teachers Association. Kathi Calahan and Terri Fowler, employees of the bank, welcomed members to the Annex of Cornersville Church of Christ on June 1st.

Following a delightful lunch catered by Russell Catering, a short business meeting was conducted with association president Katie Harris presiding. Scholarship chairman Meri Bigham announced the winners of $1000 scholarships given annually to both high school and college students committed to the teaching profession. High school students receiving scholarships were

Michael Allen, Cornersville High School, and Morgan Goodman, Marshall County High School. Elysia Izzo, a student attending Martin Methodist College, and Scarlett King of Columbia State/Middle Tennessee State University were also awarded scholarships.

The last order of business was the installation of officers for the 2017-2018 year. The slate of officers include: Ginger Hardison, president; Cathy Madeo, secretary; Barbara Wood, treasurer; Beth Chunn, publicity chairman; and Joy Lewter, chaplain.
