Marshall Medical Volunteer Scholarships Awarded

The Marshall Medical Center Volunteer Association was proud to present three Marshall County graduating seniors with scholarships. Each student received a $1,500 scholarship to pursue their education in the medical field. Haley Owens, from Cornersville High School, is planning to attend East Tennessee State University and to obtain her degree in chemistry and later to attend pharmacy school and become a pharmacist. Forrest High School senior, Hope Lovvorn, will be attending the University of South Alabama or possibly Spring Hill College in Mobile and plans to pursue a degree in nursing. Ximena Leon, from Marshall County High School, will start her education at Columbia State and plans to continue her education in medicine and become a Pediatric Cardiologist. Geraldine Beatty-Reese, chairman of the Marshall Medical Center Volunteer Scholarship Committee presented the awards and wished the best for these graduating seniors, as they strive to meet their healthcare career goals.
