City golf tournament on horizon

Amateur golfers from Marshall, Lincoln, Giles, Bedford, and Maury counties will tee it up for The 2nd Annual Greater Lewisburg City Golf Championship, sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants Bank at Saddle Creek Golf Club on August 5 and 6.

The 36-Hole Flighted Tournament will determine the area’s best players in four divisions with men up to age 59 playing the white tees.

Ladies up to age 67 play red tees, while 68 and up play the green tees.

Senior men ages 60-to-69 play the gold tees and the super seniors, 70 and wiser play the black tees.

Entry Fee: $80.00 (includes: greens fees, range balls, prizes and tee giveaways for both Rounds).

Last year’s top 3 finishers were: Tate Lowery 75-72-147, Joe Liggett 71-80-151, and Mike Tankersley 75-77-152.

Senior Division: Buddy Wiles 81-76-157, Eddie Roberts 81-77-158, and John Lambert 82-82-164.

Women: First place-Susie Wilson and second place-Mandy Mason.
