OKAY Industriesí Mil-Spec mags now available in colors
Itís not unusual to walk outside my house most any weekend during the daytime and hear my distant neighboors target shooting.
At nearly any point on the compass, I can hear the sweet sound of people celebrating their 2nd Amendment rights. Amid the gunfire, I can typically hear the unmistakable stacatto, rapid fire of multiple AR15s plinking away at targets. Frequently, I join the fun and make some noise of my own.
One of the many commonalities between AR15 shooters is the need for quality magazines. I own a wide variety of AR mags, but itís funny that I have one favorite. Itís an OKAY Industries 20-round magazine given to me by a Green Beret soldier friend I went to church with in Fayetteville, N.C., in the mid 1970s. That well-worn magazine is still as reliable today as it was the day it was issued.
OKAY Industries helped co-develop the original 30-round M16 magazine with the U.S. Army in 1973. Since then, OKAY has been a preferred supplier to the U.S. Government in times of international conflict, including Iraq, Afghanistan and flashpoints around the world.
Because of their superior battle-proven performance, OKAY Mil-Spec M16/M4 magazines have earned the reputation as the best available. Coveted by U.S. soldiers, OKAY magazines have been almost impossible to find outside military and OEMs, until recently.
OKAY Industriesí reputation for unmatched performance also made them a preferred supplier for leading AR15 manufacturers. But their magazine history goes back even further, dating back to WWII when OKAY, then called B. Jahn, made millions of magazines for the M1 Carbine.
Today, OKAY sells their USGI-type magazines under the SureFeed brand to civilians. Their new Desert Tan 30-round magazines are 100 percent made in the U.S.A. with components that meet or exceed demanding Mil-Spec requirements. The magazine bodies and floor plates are made from lightweight aluminum that is heat treated and hard coat anodized for strength and durability. A proprietary Desert Tan coating is applied to the magazine body that has a nano-PTFE additive for increased lubricity as well as a boron additive for durability which exponentially improves performance and reliability.
Millions of U.S. soldiers have reached for OKAY magazines when the margin for error was zero. Previously only made for the U.S. Government, OKAY magazines are coveted by soldiers and civilian shooters alike. Battle proven for more than 40 years, they are renowned for reliable feeding and flawless performance in any Mil-Spec AR-15 compatible platform. These legendary magazines are perfect for any Mil-Spec AR-15 modern sporting rifle.
SureFeed magazine are now available in 30-, 20- and 10-round capacities with MSRPs ranging from $18.95 to $19.95. Check online and youíll find specials for a little at $9.95 each.
