• The Forrest School homecoming parade will be Sept. 8.

• Marshall County Memorial Library events: Sept. 8, Story Time in Chapel Hill at 10 a.m., Cancer: Thriving and Surviving in Lewisburg at 10 a.m.; Sept. 9 at 10 a.m., Crochet Club; Sept. 11, Friends of the Library at 5:30 p.m.

• Everyone is invited to the 2nd Annual UnityFest to enjoy free food, free concert, and free games for kids. This will be at Henry Horton State Park Saturday, Sept. 9, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

• Cornersville, Sunday, September 10 at 11 a.m. Friends and Family Day at St. Matthews AME Church, Pastor, Ashley Cox. Guest speaker Elder Eddie Shirley, and Liggett Street Church of God. Lunch will be served.

• The New Hebrew Church of Christ, 3432 Franklin Pike, Lewisburg, invites you to their Fellowship Day Services, Sunday, Sept. 10. The guest speaker will be Bro. Chris Frierson, Mnister of the Glass Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. Sunday school is at 11 a.m., fellowship lunch at 12:30 p.m. and afternoon worship at 2 p.m. You are welcome to join us, Bro. James Ordway, Minister of New Hebrew Church of Christ.

• The Lewisburg Garden Club will meet Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. in the Hardison School Building in the room across from the Extension office. The special speaker will be Mike and Susan Klopovich on raising the Monarch butterflies. The program will consist on feeding, identifying butterfly eggs and caterpillars, and releasing to beautify our gardens. Hopefully, this program will inspire others to start raising butterflies. The public is invited.

• The Marshall County Art Guild Gallery & Studio will be accepting artwork at the gallery at 107 West Commerce Street during gallery hours Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., between Sept. 13 to Oct. 4 for the Annual MCAG Arts A’ Poppin Show & Sale. The community art show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applications, category list & entry forms available at the gallery. • The La Leche monthly meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, on the square at the First Presbyterian Church, at 10:30 a.m.

• “East Commerce Baptist Church will host a revival led by Don Graham from Clanton, AL, Sept. 17 - September 20. Services start at 11 a.m. Sunday morning. Evening services are Sunday through Wednesday and all start at 7 p.m. Nursery will be provided. For more info, please call 359-1027.

• The Marshall County Senior Citizens Center will host a free workshop on Medicare on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Senior Center classroom. The center is located in the Hardison Office Annex at 230 College Street in Lewisburg. The workshop will cover Medicare choices, deadline dates, drug plan information (Part D), Medicare Advantage Plans, premiums and deductibles. Contact the Senior Center for more information at 931-359-1808. Medicare open enrollment is Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. During this time Medicare recipients can make changes to their plan. • The Cornersville High School homecoming parade will take place on Friday, Sept. 22. For the safety of those participating and watching the parade, Main Street and all roads leading to Main Street will be blocked for approximately one hour beginning at 12:30 p.m.

• South Marshall Fire Dept, 1st Annual Homecoming Community Awareness Day, Sat., Sept. 23, 2017, 8 a.m. until; at the South Marshall Fire Hall, 2099 New Ostella Road, Cornersville, TN. Admission is free. There will be live music, games for all ages, cornhole tournament, firefighter demonstration, combination auction, bar-b-que plates $10 each. • The Lewisburg Lions Club Octoberfest and Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday, Oct. 7 at Rock Creek Park in Lewisburg from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Booth space is available for crafts, produce, specialty, and more.
