On Thursday at Henry Horton State Park, the Forrest cross country team hosted the Marshall County meet with MCHS and Cornersville.

The three county cross country teams have grown tremendously over the last four years.

This is MCHS’ fourth year to have a Cross Country team and Cornersville High School's second year, while the Forrest High School cross country has been around for a long time.

Girls winners, first thru fifth place from left are, Leah Hollingsworth (MCHS), Naomi Hopper (MCHS), Sorrel Martin (Cornersville), Hannah Villazon (Forrest), and Hannah Hinds (Cornersville).

The top five finishers in the boys and girls were awarded with medals with Leah Hollingsworth, Naomi Hopper, Sorrel Martin, Hannah Villazon, and Hannah Hinds finishing in that order in the girls division.

The boys top five finishers in order are, Kolten Johnson, Zack Sheppard, Leslie Bishop, Luke Ledford, and Aaron Collins.

The squads have been working hard this season their next challenge is the Region Tournament on Thursday, October 26.
