John David Hamlett
John David Hamlett, age 87 of Lynnville, died Oct. 27, 2017, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Pulaski.
Mr. Hamlett was a native of Giles County, and was the son of the late Ira L. and Lenice Hickman Hamlett. He was retired from Faber Castell, was a farmer, a Korean War Veteran, and member of the Robertson Fork Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Davey Hamlett; two sisters, Katherine Dial and Ethel Short; three brothers, William Hamlett, Horace Hamlett, and Wallace Hamlett. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Keeton Hamlett of Lynnville; two daughters, Carol (Mike) Wade and Karen (Phil) Hewitt both of Lynnville; son, David (Brenda) Hamlett of Lynnville; two sisters, Annie Ruth Bohannan of Goodwater, AL, and Mary Lillian Beaver of Lynnville; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home and burial followed in Lynnwood Cemetery.
The family was at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Robertson Fork Church of Christ, in care of Dwayne Briggs, 1905 Robertson Fork Road, Lynnville, TN 38472.
