• The 2017 annual meeting of the New Hope Cemetery at Talley, Inc. will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Belfast Lions Club.

• There will be a Bear Creek Church-Full Moon Dinner, at Bear Creek Church, 1478 Bear Creek Road, Nov. 4, 2017, at 4 p.m., featuring a four course meal, music, silent auction, and door prizes. • Benefit for Dougie Worsham, sponsored by Cornersville Lions Club, will be Saturday, Nov. 11 at Cornersville High School cafeteria and auditorium. Chili supper is 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with “Womanless Beauty Pageant” immediatley following. Brave men are needed for pageant as well as baked goods and new items to auction.
