• The South Central Human Resource Agency will distribute commodities Thursday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Powder Room, 570 West Church St., Lewisburg. These commodities will be issued to elgible area residents on a first come first serve basis. Those elgible are required to go to the SCHRA office at 1572 Old Columbia Highway and apply for a “new” commodity card. The NEW fiscal year began Oct. 1, 2017. Any card dated before Oct. 1, 2017, is NO GOOD. Call 931-433-7182 for more information.

• The Town of Cornersville will have its regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Nov. 2, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall in Cornersville. This meeting is open to the public and all citizens are welcome to attend.

• The Marshall County Historical Society will host its quarterly meeting Sunday afternoon, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the museum, 230 College Street, Lewisburg. Mr. Robin Minor, retired history teacher, will present a program on Isaac Rainey, Revolutionary War patriot, and his reasons for joining the colonists in this fight. The meeting is free and open to the public.

• The Industrial Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at 12 p.m. at the Historic First Avenue Building, 207 1st Avenue North, Lewisburg, TN 37091.

• The office of Town Hall in Cornersville will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10 in observance of Veterans Day. The office will re-open on Monday, Nov. 13 at the regular hour of 7:30 a.m.

• The Marshall County Board of Public Utilities at 624 West Commerce Street, Lewisburg will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, in observance of Veterans Day.

• The South Central Human Resource Agenty Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council Meeting will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 16 at the South Central Human Resource Agency Central Office, Fayetteville, TN.

• The Marshall County Board of Public Utilities will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday Nov. 21, 2017, 9 a.m. at 624 West Commerce Street, Lewisburg, TN in the Doug Rogers Board Room. The public is invited to attend.
