• The Knights of Columbus is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner at St. John’s Catholic Church, Saturday, Nov. 4, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. All you can eat for $10, children 5 - 12, $5, and children under 5, free.

• Greater First Baptist Church, 512 6th Avenue North, will have a Gospel Concert, Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, 4 p.m. Special guests will be M. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, Starlight Gospel Keys, The New Traveling Stars & Hickory Grove, Bro. Shawn Moore, and Simeon Baptist Church. All are invited to attend.

• NHC Oakwood is having a Welcoming Reception for patients, families, and the community to meet Ryan Vaden, the new administrator at NHC Oakwood. The reception is Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at 2 p.m., 244 Oakwood Drive, Lewisburg.

• Jonathan Hendrix from Project iGuardian and Homeland Security will be presenting a program in the Marshall County High School Lecture Hall on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. for parents. He will be discussing internet and smartphone safety. Parents are asked not to bring children as some of the content of his presentation is graphic.

• There will be a Bear Creek Church-Full Moon Dinner, at Bear Creek Church, 1478 Bear Creek Road, Nov. 4, 2017, at 4 p.m., featuring a four course meal, music, silent auction, and door prizes. You can purchase tickets at Mooresville Market thru Oct. 7, $50 per ticket. All proceeds will go to Bear Creek Church Restoration Project. • The Beat Goes On- Marshall County High School Chorus fundraiser concert will be at the Dixie Theatre on Nov. 3, 4, and 5. Shows start at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening and 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Rock and Roll standards will include memorable songs like We Will Rock You, Hound Dog, Dust in the Wind, Every Breath You Take, and I Love Rock and Roll. You will want to sing along and dance in the aisles as the chorus takes you down memory lane. Tickets are only $10 each and can be purchased from a choir member or one hour before the show at the Dixie box office. Tickets are cash only.

• American Legion Post 39 will be sponsoring the services for Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. on the Courthouse Square.

• Benefit for Dougie Worsham, sponsored by Cornersville Lions Club, will be Saturday, Nov. 11 at Cornersville High School cafeteria and auditorium. Chili supper is 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with “Womanless Beauty Pageant” immediatley following. Brave men are needed for pageant as well as baked goods and new items to auction. • On Nov. 14 & 15 at 9 a.m., the Elk’s will hold their annual Elk’s Hoop Shoot for girls and boys, ages 8 to 13 years of age, as of April 1, 2016. This will be held at Lewisburg Middle School gymnasium. If you have any questions, contact Kenneth Walker at 931-359-3190.
